Safety Features
The Race Star is a full face helmet from Bell. Compared to other types of helmets, full face helmets provide the best overall protection as they cover your entire head and face. When choosing a new helmet and when safety is your top priority, a full-face helmet is always the right choice. Constructed from Carbon, this Race Star DLX Flex offers the advantage of a very lightweight construction and superior distribution of energy upon impact. The proven 3K carbon fiber gives this helmet the look, performance and feel of a true race helmet. In addition, this helmet is provided with Flex Energy Management. A first-of-its kind, three layer impact liner designed to manage energy from three potential impact scenarios: low, mid and high speed.
The chinstrap closure is an important part of the helmet's effectiveness in the event of a fall, and it's also the part you interact with the most when putting on and taking off the helmet. The Race Star DLX Flex has a Double-D buckle. This is the oldest type of buckle and, compared to the other types of chinstrap closures, has the simplest design. Yet today it is considered one of the safest closures.
All helmets in our collection are certified and legal for European roads. This helmet is ECE 22.06 approved. 22.06 is the newest ECE certification and helmets with this label are safer than its 22.05 predecessors, because they need to meet stricter safety standards. Besides the helmet, the accessories, such as visors, are also included in the tests. Note: The pictures show the helmet with a sticker on the back with DOT approval. However, the helmet we sell is only ECE approved.
The visor

Comfort
The interior of this helmet is provided with an Ionic+ Antimicrobial Comfort Padding. The quick-drying interior padding helps manage sweat while using silver for odor control. In addition, the helmet is fitted with a removable interior, which makes it possible to wash the interior and keep it fresh.
