Safety features
The Moto-10 Spherical is a great offroad helmet by Bell for Motocross/Enduro riders. These helmets are specially designed to give you the best experience when causing havoc in the dirt. This offroad helmet features a panoramic goggle port. A wider port provides better fitment, optimal sealing, and a massive field of view, increasing the rider’s visibility and safety when needed most. Combined with Bell’s proven 3k carbon you have the looks, light weight, and performance to attack the track.
In addition, this helmet is provided with spherical technology. Spherical Technology features a ball-and-socket design that helps redirect impact forces away from the brain, allowing the outer liner to rotate around the inner liner during a crash. To top it all off, this helmet is integrated with Magnefusion Cheek Pad Emergency Release System. This allows for easy removal of the pads for washing and enables emergency responders to easily remove the cheek pads first before removing the helmet following an impact.
It’s not just the interior of the Moto-10 that’s protecting the rider, it’s the exterior as well. Bell constructed two NMR™ (No Missed Races) bumpers on either side of the helmet. These bumpers are made with a softer EPP material that compresses under load but bounces back to its original form, helping to reduce the likelihood of further injury caused from the helmet contacting your body.
The chinstrap closure is an important part of the helmet's effectiveness in the event of a fall, and it's also the part you interact with the most when donning and doffing the helmet. The Moto-10 has a Double-D buckle. This is the oldest type of buckle and, compared to the other types of chinstrap closures, has the simplest design.
All helmets in our collection are certified and legal for European roads. This helmet is ECE 22.06 approved. 22.06 is the newest ECE certification and helmets with this label are safer than its 22.05 predecessors, because they need to meet stricter safety standards. Besides the helmet, the accessories, such as visors, are also included in the tests. Note: The pictures show the helmet with a sticker on the back with DOT approval. However, the helmet we sell is only ECE approved.
Comfort
This ventilation is so extreme, Bell named it the Thermal Exchange Airflow System (T.E.A.S) because of how it sucks cool air like a vacuum and then expels hot air through the side and rear exhaust ports.
To withstand the heat exchange and hard use, there’s a Virus CoolJade liner added. This removable, washable liner is made of fabric that has been infused with recycled jade to create a natural cooling effect. The ultra-wicking construction combined with CoolJade-infused yarn decreases your skin surface temperature up to 10 °F; keeping you cool, comfortable, and focused on the race at hand.
