The Harmsco Hurricane is a combination centrifugal separator and up-flow cartridge filter in a single compact design with one single cartridge for easy installation, removal and service. Harmsco Hurricane filters provide unsurpassed performance because they separate dense solids prior to cartridge filtration for extended filter life, increased dirt holding capacity and reduced maintenance costs. In many respects Harmsco Hurricane filters are two filters in one. Harmsco's patented "upflow" design utilizes the natural law of gravity which allows the heavier solids to drop out to the bottom of the vessel, which can then be "blowed-down" to the drain, extending cartridge life dramatically.
