The ZLX G2 is an entry point for Electro-Voice's portable speaker portfolio and is built on its predecessor's success formula by increasing the maximum sound pressure level, frequency range, longevity and connectivity, and offering a range of ergonomic improvements.SUPERIOR TECHNOLOGY, SUPERIOR SOUNDThe outstanding audio quality, which made the ZLX the first choice for musical performances/playback and voice applications, was brought to a higher level with the ZLX G2. The maximum sound pressure level has been increased to 129 dB (ZLX-15P-G2), and the high-quality components behind the grid ensure that the ZLX G2 delivers impressive acoustic performance even in daily use. The woofer and compression driver in each ZLX G2 model are coupled with a patented SST waveguide (Signal Synchronized Transceivers) that improves bass reproduction and provides an even vertical and horizontal transmission across all frequencies. Uniform vertical and horizontal radiation over all frequencies - and all this in a compact form factor. The ZLX G2 provides a sound that lives up to the name Electro-Voice.INTELLIGENT CONTROL AND CONNECTIVITYThe active versions of the ZLX G2 are powered by Dynacord - with the premium electronics of the sister brand of Electro-Voice. The highly efficient 1000-Watt Class D amplifier modules have an integrated four-channel digital mixer with three inputs and high-quality effects. The mixer includes two XLR/TRS combo jacks and offers 24 V phantom power and Hi-Z compatibility. The mixer also offers professional functions such as AFS (automatic feedback suppression), Ducking, compression, speaker delay settings and more.Five system mode settings are available: Music, Live, Voice, Club and FRFR (full range, flat frequency response). New in ZLX G2 and unique in this product class, the FRFR setting offers a flat/neutral frequency response for accurate results when used with modeling processors and guitar cab simulators. The ZLX G2-powered speakers also include electro-voice-specific subwoofer presets that adjust both the gain and timing, WAS leads to a complete acoustic optimization. Additional high pass filters (HP) are available in the DSP, in order to increase the compatibility.All functions of the ZLX G2 speaker and mixer can be remotely controlled and monitored with the Electro-Voice QuickSmart Mobile APP, available for iOS and Android. The APP enables the coupling and grouping of up to six Bluetooth®-equipped portable electro-voice speakers in any combination. Users can pair two ZLX G2 speakers wirelessly and connect to Bluetooth® True Wireless Stereo Streaming in a stereo setup. The local configuration can be completed in seconds with the single-button encoder with LCD. The new full-color LCD is larger and high resolution and offers a clear, clear view of system settings. The ZLX G2 makes it easy for users of all levels of experience to generate great sound.SHAPE AND FUNCTION REDEFINEDHousing design, ergonomics and versatility were the focus of the development of the ZLX G2. The result is a sleek, solid blend of form and function that develops first-generation elements while delivering important improvements for a better user experience. The black speaker casing is made from durable polypropylene and has a new, reinforced spine with embossed electro-voice logo.Balanced 55º pages allow for a steeper projection angle when the speaker is in monitor position, WAS makes it easier for the user to hear himself, while at the same time facilitating access to the amplifier input/control panel on the opposite side. A built-in kick back angle allows the 12 and 15 versions to project upwards at an angle of 23º when aligned vertically. The housing's position has been modified so that it points straight forward when placed directly on a subwoofer (i.e. without using a bar).For the permanent installation of the ZLX G2 models, a choice of mounting accessories is available: A U-shaped wall mount allows the 12 and 15-inch models to be mounted vertically or horizontally; a long-arm wall mount for the 12 and 15-inch versions enables vertical mounting with tilt adjustment; a short-arm wall mount for the 8-inch version enables a vertical mounting.
